Diesel Repair and Diagnostics in Dallas, TX

A derate warning is a symptom, not a diagnosis. We find what put the engine there instead of clearing the code and handing back the keys.

Serving diesel owners and fleet operators across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since 1995

Modern diesel emissions systems are the reason most diesels come into a shop, and they are also the reason a lot of them come back. A code names a sensor, the sensor gets replaced, and the fault returns because the sensor was reporting a problem rather than causing one. We diagnose the system instead.

How a diesel job runs here

01

Tell us the platform and the fault

A derate on a Sprinter and a hard start on a work truck are different conversations. The vehicle and the symptom set the direction.

02

Read the system properly

Modern diesels throw codes that point at symptoms rather than causes. We diagnose the system rather than replacing the part the code names.

03

You get the findings and the cost

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix, and what the downtime looks like, because a vehicle off the road is the real cost.

04

Approved work only

Nothing is replaced until you approve it. On fleet accounts we work to whatever authorisation process you already run.

Downtime is part of the cost of a diesel repair, and we treat it that way when we quote the work.

What Our Customers Say on Google

Diesel questions we get asked

My truck went into limp mode. What now?

Limp mode is the engine protecting itself, usually because of an emissions, sensor or fuel system fault. Clearing the code without finding the cause puts you back in the same place, often within days. Call 214-821-5052 and tell us the platform and what the dash is showing.

Do you work on DEF and emissions systems?

Yes. DEF faults, emissions warnings and derates are regular work here across Sprinter vans, pickups and heavier trucks.

Do you service diesel pickups as well as commercial trucks?

Yes. A diesel pickup gets the same diagnostic process as a fleet truck. You do not need to run a fleet to bring one here.

Can you handle Sprinter diesel work?

Yes. Sprinter vans are one of the platforms ESS is known for, including emissions, DEF and limp mode faults specific to them.

How quickly can you look at it?

Call 214-821-5052 and we will tell you honestly what the schedule looks like. For fleet accounts, tell us the downtime constraint and we will work to it where we can.

Where are you located?

4020 Main St, Dallas TX 75226, in Downtown Dallas near Main Street and Haskell Avenue. Open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Diesel down or running in derate?

Call and tell us the platform and the fault. We will tell you what it takes to get it back.
